Engineering Mechanics: Dynamics – Anthony Bedford – 4th Edition

Description

The main objective in this book is to teach students fundamental concepts and methods. Instead of presenting the dynamics as a sequence of independent methods, their coherence is emphasized by demonstrating that energy and momentum techniques can be derived from Newton’s second law.
The same approach is applied to a particle system to obtain equations describing the dynamics of rigid bodies, and in explaining the motion of these bodies the vector of angular velocity and the vector equations describing the movements are consistently employed relative points. To help students identify important outcomes, the key equations are highlighted, and the concepts discussed in each chapter are reinforced by presenting them back in a summary at the end of each chapter.
